We are committed to fostering an accessible workshop. If you have any concerns or accessibility needs we can help meet, please contact Erin and Nora through our contact form.
We will have access copies of paper submissions and handouts on site and digital copies available through our website/email. Additionally, we ask that all participants and auditors adhere to the following guidelines:
- We encourage all participants to plan to attend a scent-free workshop session.
- Plan to consume beverages from lidded containers, and avoid consuming any snacks with nuts/peanuts during the workshop discussion.
- On our first introductions, please announce your preferred name and pronouns.
- During discussion, announce your name before speaking to allow those who may be visually impaired to know who is speaking and follow the flow of conversation.
- Please speak slowly and clearly, speaking out to the room (rather than looking down) whenever possible, and avoid covering your face with your hands/scarf.
- When referring to images/slides/videos, describe key visual elements important to your point.
- Allow both participants and auditors to leave the room as needed without explanation.
